Cataloguing Forgotten Beauty
The Australian Museum of Design is home to the most significant collection of original hand drawn designs by Australian artists, including artworks by Carla Zampatti, Noel Lyons, Lloyd Foye and Bruce Clarke, more than 10,500 designs, predominantly from the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s, and recent works by artists Collette Dinnigan and Kate Ceberano.
It is a huge task to ensure that this treasure trove of designs is protected. Launched in February 2022, it was established to preserve and showcase the collection of original, hand-drawn Australian designs to the world. The largest body of design work to be documented and recorded to date.
Jump on-board! Let’s face it… It’s glamorous, it’s fun, it is Australian art and design at its best.
