Cataloguing Forgotten Beauty
The Australian Museum of Design is home to the most significant collection of original hand drawn designs by Australian artists, including artworks by Carla Zampatti, Noel Lyons, Lloyd Foye and Bruce Clarke, more than 7,500 designs, predominantly from the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s. It is a huge task to ensure that this treasure trove of designs is protected.

Launched in February 2022, it was established to preserve and showcase a collection of over 7,500 original, hand-drawn Australian designs. The largest body of design work to be documented and recorded to date.

We are excited to present a collection of designs that span more than 50 years of Australian design history.

Jump on-board! Let’s face it… It’s glamorous, it’s fun, it is Australian art and design at its best.
